In every moment of time, we are given the choice between LIGHT and dark, positives and negatives, good and evil. A Warrior of LIGHT learns to be wise enough to distinguish the differences and recognize the choices; they choose LIGHT, even though it is often the harder of the two.
Our ultimate weapon is love, our shield is peace, our fuel is passion, and our goal is JOY.
~ Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon from the book You are Not Perfect the Way You Are
Recently, I was asked what it means to be a Warrior of Light. I think the confusion comes from our societal programming around the term “warrior.” Most people picture a warrior as someone on a battlefield, fighting to protect a country or a people—a person armed with physical strength, training, and determination. But a Warrior of Light is different. This warrior commits to a path of personal growth, self-mastery, and the pursuit of truth, guided by a desire to serve a higher purpose. It is a calling to balance strength with compassion, standing as a force for good in a world where light and darkness coexist.
The journey of a Warrior of Light involves discipline in both mental and physical realms. It requires facing one’s own limitations, fears, and shadows to grow stronger and more resilient. Through experiences that challenge them, Warriors learn to harness their inner light—not just for personal empowerment, but also to protect and guide others along their paths.
A Warrior of Light values courage, integrity, and discernment. They understand that life’s battles are often internal, demanding mastery over self-doubt, ego, and negative influences. It’s a path that combines strength with humility, knowing that true power lies in the dedication to serve and uplift others, bringing light into every part of life.
In essence, a Warrior of Light is someone who embraces their own growth while empowering others on their journey to self-mastery. They stand as a reminder that we are all capable of choosing light, of finding purpose in service, and of cultivating joy as our ultimate destination. This warrior is not merely fighting for themselves but for a vision of a world where light prevails—not through force, but through the enduring power of love, peace, and unity.
